The Woodcliff Lake Police Department is pleased to announce that our officers have been trained on the operation of our new SafeFleet/Coban Mobile-Vision Focus X2 body worn cameras (BWC). The cameras are set to be deployed on April 1st 2022 and will be affixed to the officer’s outer most uniform garment. The operation of body worn cameras will be in compliance with agency policy, which is in accordance with NJ Attorney General's and Bergen County Prosecutor's Office guidelines.  The Woodcliff Lake Police Department’s use of body worn video camera technology continues to provide value in enhancing officer safety, reduction of liability, assist with prosecution and case resolution, and further promote professionalism and accountability through transparency.
As with our BWC technology, the video recorded by officers will automatically upload to SafeFleet storage and evidence management system, where it can be easily accessed for review. An end-user cannot tamper with video files stored on the SafeFleet/Coban Mobile-Vision Focus X2 camera.
